Job Description
As a QA Engineer, you are responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing tests for REST APIs as well as web and mobile applications, utilizing state-of-the-art tools and test automation. You continuously develop our QA processes, implement automated tests, and work closely with cross-functional teams and the Product Owner to ensure the highest quality standards. With your experience in both manual and automated testing, and your expertise in tools such as Selenium, Katalon, or TestRail, you play a key role in identifying and resolving issues early. You have strong analytical skills, enjoy working in a team, and communicate confidently in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
Your skill set
- You have solid work experience in manual and automated testing of REST APIs, web and mobile apps, and thrive in agile environments. First experience in coaching team members on QA best practices and processes is a plus.
- You successfully implement your solid knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Katalon, TestRail, or similar technologies. Knowledge of Appium is a plus.
- You have an analytical mind and like digging into details, - finding, identifying and fixing potential flaws and bugs with your team, before our users can even notice.
- You are a real team-player, you enjoy working in a collaborative environment and support honest and efficient communication in the company.
- You can communicate freely in English, knowledge of German is a plus.
OUR TECH STACK
- Our mobile apps are based on React Native, our WebApps are based on React.js
- We use Typescript, tailwindcss
- Our backend services are based on PHP 8 with Symfony and Doctrine
- We host on AWS and use managed services from AWS almost exclusively (Kubernetes, AppSync, Lambdas)
- We use Datadog for monitoring and alerting
- For our CI/CD pipelines we use CodeFresh
- We are testing with Cypress, Behat, PHPUnit and jest
